About Us

Carlyn (Old Gaelic term for “little champion”) Kennels– established in 2010, is a small kennel located in the south coast part of Massachusetts specializing in grooming, training, boarding and professional handling of all breeds as well as breeding high quality German Shepherd Dogs. We have much experience in titling over 100+ dogs to Championships, Grand Championships, Select ratings, Grand Victor/Grand Victrix, Award of Excellence, Obedience and Rally titles.

Owner/operator of Carlyn Kennels, Autumn always had a passion for animals. As a young child, she watched The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show with a high interest in it. Her father then introduced her to a childhood friend of his that showed dogs and after meeting, it took off from there.

Starting at the young age of 11 years old, Autumn began showing in AKC Junior Showmanship Competition with her first show dog, Diesel. Throughout the first couple years of showing, she showed her own dogs and completed Diesel’s Championship.

As the years went on, she worked for a few different professional handlers and branched out to handling on her own part time. In 2015, Autumn’s whirlwind career as a handler seemed to take off. She was given the opportunity to show a male by the name of Lucas, otherwise known as Can Sel BIS MBISS FV GCH Am 2x Sel MBISS GCH Harmonia’s Name of The Game HIC OFA at the German Shepherd Dog Club of America’s National Specialty (a yearly event with the top German Shepherd Dog’s in the country). Having never met him before, they went onto winning Winner’s Dog, Best of Winners, and a Select 4 rating. Autumn then campaigned Lucas the following year and they grew as a team, subsequently adding more titles to his name. And as they say, the rest is history.
